Picture 52 - 2 years-old

Happy Birthday, my princess. You're such a joy in our lives.

Leila turned 2 on February 16th (I know, I'm very late with my blog posts!)

Picture 51 - Waiting...

Just a few more weeks...

Picture 50 - Opposite Directions

Sayen Gardens - end of February.

Picture 49 - Sayen Gardens

There's still snow on the ground... but all the flower buds and warmer weather remind us Spring will be here soon.

Picture 48 - Tulips are coming!

First picture taken with my extension tubes. It's so nice how close I can get to things (and how much detail is shown!). Tulips will be here soon - for now they're only less than 2 inches high.

Picture 47 - Crocodile

He was watching us...

Picture 46 - Sea Turtle

Over 100 years-old... incredible.

Picture 45 - Shark Tank

Shark Tank at the Adventure Aquarium. It's so hard to get decent pictures there since the place is so dark. But seeing so much under water beautiful creatures, it's even harder to come home without photographing them!

Picture 41 - Dinner for Two

Again practicing the manual focus. I love when miniature things look like real size ones on photos.

Picture 36 - Winter Romance

"I think there is something so romantic about winter... The fragility of ice crystals clinging to a wilted flower..."

Picture 35 - Ice

February 2nd Ice Storm. Hurry up, Spring!

Pretty blue sky after the snow storm this week.

Picture 32 - The Orchid Wall

Looking up - the incredible Orchid Wall. My last one from the Longwood Gardens Conservatory in January.

Picture 27 - Waiting to Bloom

Waiting to bloom... at the Longwood Gardens Conservatory.

Picture 26 - Tiny Little Visitor

I love the combination of flowers and insects -- at the Longwood Gardens Conservatory.

Picture 25 - The Reflection in Her Eye

In this picture I tried to get my reflection in Leila's eye. That was my new "assignment", given by my friend David Byron. He's an amazing photographer. This is not even close to what he would be able to do with his camera, but I tried... and I know that practice makes perfect -- someday I hope :)

Picture 22 - Windmill

At Halo Farm this afternoon - a nice combination of sunset and a very old windmill. I love windmills.

Picture 21 - Jellyfish

In my opinion, one of the most fascinating ocean creatures imaginable.

Picture 19 - Petals

Learning manual focus. And loving it.

Picture 18 - The Moon

A few nights ago...

Picture 17 - Under Water

Trip to the Adventure Aquarium today, in Camden NJ. A beautiful place with amazing under water creatures, but extremely hard to photograph since the lighting is so low. This was one of my very few captures. I could have watched this little guy for a lot longer!

Picture 16 - Things to Remember

The ring was a Mother's Day gift before Leila was born. The rose was from my friend Melissa, at Leila's birth.

Picture 15 - Icicles

I'm not a big fan of cold weather... but icicles, in my opinion, are one of the most beautiful things in the Winter.

Picture 8 - Loving the Snow

One year ago this was so overwhelming for you. I'm so glad you can have fun in the snow now, Lukie. I'm happy when you're happy.

Picture 7 - Rose

My neighbor's backyard. I know, it looks sad. But still pretty.
